Resurrecting from Writer's Block

I used to journal for several years prior to relocating to Kansas City, Missouri in 2004.  Like many writers, something traumatic happened that has lead to my present day Writer's Block.  I titled my blog post, "Resurrecting from Writer's Block" because I felt like my writing days were over.  The days of expressing my feelings, thoughts and doubts with the speed of the ink on paper were over.  Writing on my CTA bus passes (before they became plastic credit-card-like scan cards) while I rode to work or class were gone.  Writing on the back of receipts, business cards, junk mail and important agendas were no longer going to be a part of my daily life.  Writing anything down on paper was no longer an option.

A battle I am hoping to win!
To get on a "TMI" kick - I get bloated easily after eating food with a lot salt or gluten.  Sometimes I wonder if the bloating was because I hadn't written in a while.

Sometimes I said a little "too much" in a conversation - that's because I write or brainstorm before going to that happy hour.

Term papers and final reflections in class weren't filled with the substance I know I possess.  That is because I wasn't "journaling" throughout the year as I used to.

There are many reasons to write - and for that reason, I am back!  If I'm not blogging on here then I'm writing in a journal.  The resurrection begins today.
